- is arbitrarily declining my checks at - - -. This is the - occurrence since - -/-/- They declined a check submitted on -/-/-/-/- and ironically sent a letter demanding I send them a check for $170.00 the - of -. We were on vacation and actually received it on -. After calling them to clarify, I was threatened with - denying all my checks to all of their customers until I submit another check. The same problem was experienced in - and after - hours with a supervisor I was advised their problem had been corrected and I would have no further problems with them as they had no negative transaction with our check cashing or funds. I spoke with Svc. Rep. - and Supv. - today, both were rude and insistent upon me clearing up the problem. They admitted the problem was either with the machine or the clerk 's input of the check but declared they had no responsibility for that. At no time have I had insufficient funds and my bank would not decline a $170.00 check if I did. Manager, -, at - - advises us that the check has been paid. I do not like threats, especially unwarranted ones and I do not like my credit and reputation besmirched by a business that has no concern for consumers. - was fined millions of dollars in - -/-/- for unfair consumer business practices. This has the smell of a scam.
