Communication tactics Threatened to take legal action Illinois
I have received calls from this number on my personal phone, and at my place of employment. The - caller was a gentleman, and he would not give me his name or the name of the company he represents. He only said that he works with a locator service and he needed to verify my address so that I would n't miss a court day. He also wanted me to call a certain number. At that time I told him that I could not give him any information since he had n't given me enough details. He went on to tell me that a complaint had been filed against me and he gave me no specifics, and that he wanted to make sure I did n't miss a court date. He claimed that he 'd sent information to my home and it was returned. I have lived in the same home for about - years, so I did n't believe him. Today I received a similar call, but this time a lady left a name. She also said that she was calling from a locator service. She said her name is - -, and she could be reached at - - - -, Ext. -. The message she left said that a complaint had been filed against me, that I had been serviced this morning '', and that she would be calling the human resources or risk management at my place of employment so that I can be served on site without incident. The work day is over and I have not been 'served '. She also called me at work today, and she called my employer as well. She also called a relative, and left a message. When I called the number left on the message, the recording said the name of the company is Bayview.
