Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt is not mine California

I first was made aware of a debt i owed to AWA collections out of - - California when trying to obtain a home loan in - of 2014. This was originally a - automobile club collection which i have never had -. I disputed it through Experian - - in - of 2014 and again in - of 2014. I first sent a verification and Validation letter certified mail with return receipt in - 2014 and again in - of 2014 with no response to either. I had called - and they have no records of me ever having - and when calling AWA collections they could not confirm i owed the debt but wanted payment from me immediately. I requested original contracts and proof i owed this debt but was given nothing. After several calls and getting no where i am finally formally making a complaint and will go all the way to the attorney general if need be. I am frustrated not only because this is not my debt but because also it affected my rate purchasing a new home.
