I have been working with the mortgage servicer since - -, 2014 to get approval of the short sale of the home that I shared with my - wife. This loan was only in her name and I had to go to - court just to get a letter of administration to deal with the servicer ( even though I did not otherwise legally need the probate to handle any other matters ). The servicer has had a complete short sale file for over 3 months now. Before this time, - buyers had canceled though we continued to work with the bank towards the short sale processing. The servicer has now transferred my loan to their internal recovery department '' and that department is now stating that the loan has to be assigned to someone before they can do anything. The servicer has botched the processing of my file causing me even more distress and broken California State law in regards to processing of this file for foreclosure prevention. They have gone way over the stated timelines of response and failed to provide a steady, knowledgeable single point of contact.
