I found that I had a collection account on my credit report in - of -/-/2014 The name of the original creditor is - - - APARTMENTS. I called - - - APARTMENTS when I discovered this collection account and was told that I did n't give them a 30 day notice. The company is now under a new management and the lady I spoke with ( - ) said they do not have the documentation. I explained to her that I have a copy of my 30 day notice but she said I need to deal with the collection company ( PRO COLLECT ). I sent a letter to PRO Collect explain that I do not owe the debt and sent evidence showing that a 30 day notice was given and the debt is invalid but they responded with a letter stating that their client contends that the debt is valid with no explanation on how the debt is valid. I sent them another letter to validate the debt but they can not validate the debt. The credit bureaus are not helping. They just report what collection agency tells them without any validation. I need help dealing with this corrupt collection agency. They clearly know that I do not owe this debt but are trying to collect anyway. The lease ended on - -. -/-/2014 and I gave them a 30 day notice on the - of - -/-/2014. A staff member signed and made a copy for me. The - is for $1100.00. $600.00 for - 's rent ( which makes no sense, since notice was given ). $470.00 for Re-letting Fee ( 30 day notice was given. Makes no sense ). The rest $72.00 is for utilities. I am not sure if I paid this but I do not mind paying the $72.00 but the rest of the charge is bogus.
