I canceled internet service with - in - of 2015 after a - months of successive incorrect billing for service that even their customer retention department admitted was incorrectly billed too high and made adjustments to my account. Successive bills still had the improper billed amount so I canceled service. I received another bill from - and was advised that I would get a final bill that would show any remaining balance or credit. I received a phone call from a debt collector on -/-/2015 regarding a past due amount to - for $45.00. I disputed the charge and immediately went to my local - office. The CSR girl said No, you have a credit balance '' and was unable to print anything official, but did hand me a print out of her computer screen that shows a credit balance of $110.00. I then received a bill from - also dated -/-/2015 that shows a completely different amount of NEGATIVE


NO PAYMENT DUE ''. I then received a bill from Stellar Recovery - - - -. - -, -, NC - - dated -/-/2015 for $45.00. After several calls to - I got several promises for calls back to take care of the issue. I have almost an hour 's worth of audio recordings of these calls and never received a call back. Stellar Recovery states that they can not do anything and - states that because it has been turned over to collections THEY ca n't do anything. I 'm stuck in the middle with nearly a - point hit to my credit report and neither company will acknowledge my issue or assist in rectifying the situation. As of my conversations with - today ( -/-/2015 ) their customer retention specialist - '' acknowledged that there was a balance I owed of $5.00 BUT - owes ME $40.00! Again, this is on my credit report, - owes ME money, and no one is willing to correct the issue.
