Student loan dealing with my lender or servicer trouble with how payments are handled November 27, 2016 - ECMC became the servicer of my student loans after, I unfortunately defaulted on my loans, which I am not able to understand, as I did not -, yet someone received monies for studies in did not complete. Initially, - was the collection agency " servicing " the loan, but after I became eligible for the income based program through -, - removed the accounts from my credit reports, however ECMC refuses to remove the negative items, but showing a - balnce, but still reporting negatively, even after I have asked them more than once to remove them. I submitted a request to be withdrawn from attendance within the required time frame. The school had informed me that the loan would not take effect immediately, but would be disbursed in future semesters towards the end of my degree plan ; they withheld how the loan disbursement would actually take place. They never processed my withdrawal request, and instead kept me on their attendance records to they could collect on the loan disbursement, which they did.
