Loan Science, LLC Student loan dealing with my lender or servicer trouble with how payments are handled March 14, 2017 - My - student loan was in forbearance which has ended with my next payment due on -/-/2017 at $820.00 I called to explain I can not afford this payment several times and was told I have to wait until after I miss payments to call Loan Science who handles the billing. I called Loan Science on -/-/2017 to question the payment amount and I was told that this includes late fees, I have not been late the loan was in forbearance but because this company does n't immediately put a loan into forbearance it accrues late fees. I have currently - dollars of student debt. Every month, I pay about $200.00. I have just called them and ask them if they take under the consideration that I have another student loans to pay and if they could lower my payments. My interest rate is 6.640 % Variable. ( it seem much higher ) What happened if I get sick or lose my job. They said there is not their problem, and I have to pay 200 monthly for other 18 years. My loan was later sold to Loan Science. - - - is the servicer of my loan. I have always paid my loan on time and have never had any problems until 2 weeks ago. Loan Science responded to this complaint and offered me a Loan Modification for my student loan. I accepted the Loan Modification and signed it and returned it to Loan Science on -/-/2015. In their response to my complaint, they stated that - ( their Loan Servicer ) would have the Loan Modification processed within 10 business day.
