First Citizens consumers have reported over 8 official complaints related to Problems caused by my funds being low. Out of the 8 consumer complaints against First Citizens, 0% were disputed by the consumer (i.e. the consumer was not happy with how First Citizens responded to their complaint) and 100% were processed in a timely manner. 25% of consumer complaints against First Citizens resulted in the consumer receiving monetary compensation (e.g. money, cash reimbursement, etc.) and 13% resulted in non-monetary compensation.

First Citizens Bank account or service problems caused by my funds being low July 2, 2016 - Despite never, during my 9 years as a customer, being opted in for overdraft services on my checking account, First Citizens Bank explicitly applied - overdraft charges to my checking account on -/-/16 totaling $72.00. This was apparently due to a trio of non-reoccurring purchases made over the two previous days using my debt card, totaling approximately $13.00. I contacted customer service to see if the problem could be resolved, but they declined to waive the fees.
