Pentagon FCU consumers have reported over 24 official complaints related to Loan servicing, payments, escrow account. Out of the 24 consumer complaints against Pentagon FCU, 25% were disputed by the consumer (i.e. the consumer was not happy with how Pentagon FCU responded to their complaint) and 100% were processed in a timely manner. 29% of consumer complaints against Pentagon FCU resulted in the consumer receiving monetary compensation (e.g. money, cash reimbursement, etc.) and 25% resulted in non-monetary compensation.

This was in response to my complaint of extra payments not applied toward principal as per my request. Pentagon FCU Mortgage loan servicing, payments, escrow account August 22, 2016 - PenFed artificially inflated at least - fee it charged me to pay off my mortgage. The payoff statement ( attached ) listed a $48.00 " release fee. '' No such fee had ever been mentioned in my loan application or loan agreement. When I questioned that fee, PenFed said it was a County-imposed mandatory fee. My own research revealed that the County 's lien release fee is actually only $41.00, and that I could submit the request and pay the County directly. See - and attached excerpt. Pentagon FCU Mortgage loan servicing, payments, escrow account July 8, 2015 - I have a home equity loan with the Pentagon Federal Credit Union that is delinquent but I was asked by a representative of their collections department to add $70.00 to my monthly payment every month starting in - which I have done. They continuously call me even on the day I make my payment to ask me when I am going to make the next payment because it is still 30 days behind.
