Student loan dealing with my lender or servicer trouble with how payments are handled November 14, 2016 - Chase private student loan went into default because Chase transferred servicing to third party company and I did not realize. Letters were sent to old address, Auto-pay did not transfer over and I did n't notice until my credit score took a large hit ( - to - ) from the default. Servicing company - took over the loan, which I confused with - ( another Chase servicing company ) with whom I already have federal loans. Everything was current with -, I thought nothing of it. I have - student loans with them and I have to admit that I have been for the most part late on my payments. I always make the payments though late. The last complaint I had with them was resolved and hinged around the issue of notice before they defaulted me on my loans. This time I have been defaulted again still with no prior notice. They will not close the loan out and continue to send me monthly statements even though the loan is now with - -. The people that work there continue to give me the run around transferring me to several different " supervisors '' all who say the loan is closed out and then I get a bill every month. I have contacted this company on several occasions. - sends me back to JP Morgan Chas and JP Morgan Chase sends me back to ACS. I can not get any assistance with this matter.
