Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Trouble with how payments are handled Illinois

I was unable to make payments to Chase for the first 3 months when my loan repayment started. I attempted to pay what I was able for those months. Chase did not accept my payments. Now, they will not give me information about the status of my loan and I do not know how to makes payments. I am now gainfully employed- not sure if Chase sold my loan off or what the status of it is.
