Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Trouble with how payments are handled New York

Chase private student loan went into default because Chase transferred servicing to third party company and I did not realize. Letters were sent to old address, Auto-pay did not transfer over and I did n't notice until my credit score took a large hit ( - to - ) from the default. Servicing company - took over the loan, which I confused with - ( another Chase servicing company ) with whom I already have federal loans. Everything was current with -, I thought nothing of it. Chase can not /will not reverse default.
