I switched my service over - with the understanding that they would pay my cancellation fees -. I cancelled - and payed the cancellation fees and - sent a prepaid card for $240.00 to cover the cancellations fee. My problem is that the card expired last month, -. I called to request a new card from Citi Bank and they told me they could n't give me a new - as it had expired and I lost my all my funds. I called - back and explained what happened and the agent told me to call - and speak to Citi at this number. She said it should n't be problem and that I should be able to get a new card. So I called that number and spoke with the supervisor - who explained that he could n't do anything and that the funds were gone. He stated that he could not do anything and that the card had expired and I lost my money. I explained that I read on - that even if the card had expired I should be able to get my money. It states


would pay for it. So I 'm still owed that money. - then informed me that he could not do anything and that I 'm not entitled to a new card. According to the CFPB The funds on a gift card will be good for at least five years, even if the physical card expires at an earlier time. If your card expires and there are unspent funds on it that have not expired, the issuer may give you a replacement card or give you the money by another means, such as a check. Either way, they may not charge you a fee. -
