June 9, 2015 - My husband accrued medical debt after we separated. I have a court filed document in which he stated that our date of separation was prior to his accruing the medical debt. The debt went into collection and the collection company is reporting that it is a joint debt because we were married. April 13, 2015 - I got sued for a medical bill for my - husband. The collection agency won a judgment against me. The original bill was $150.00 and now with court costs, atty fees, and other charges it is now close to $700.00. I did n't have the $150.00 to begin with and sure do n't have the $700.00 now.
