Medical Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt is not mine
Around - -/-/2015 I noticed a collection debt from Collection Bureau Services , Inc, in lieu of - - - -. I contacted - - - - to find out who they were and why they were showing up on my credit report. they explained that my ex-wife had care there. I asked what that had to do with me, not only where we divorced, but the divorce decree said she had to have her own insurance long before this visit. I was told I had to take it up with the collection agency. I called them and spoke to a - - who informed me that if I showed the signed decree they would remove it from my name. So, I sent the collection agency a signed letter ordering to cease and desist all communications and to remove my name from her bill. enclosed i sent the agreement which stated that she was to hold her own insurance from about 5 months prior to her eye visit. They then sent me a letter stating
well, - validated it, and said you owe it. '' I then called - - and spoke to -, she said, sorry, you have to take it up with the collection bureau '' and then hung up the phone on me. Not only were we divorced, but the agreement says she was to have her own health insurance. - - is trying to claim that since she used '' my insurance that is why I am liable. I do n't know if tri-care paid anything prior to this visit or not, but nothing was every authorized. And I was never her medical care giver or provider.
