Recently a third party contacted us requesting a payment plan or a settlement in full. Finding this kind of fishy we contacted her school loan company ( - ) they informed us the debt had not been transferred to another company. Knowing it was a scam I assumed they would leave us alone. They have now emailed documents to prove there legitimacy which is joke as the debt and names on the paperwork is not accurate. The lady that answered sounded like she had difficulty looking up my account. I had to give her my social security number about - times for her to get it clear.
