I contacted them today to see if there was any way to lower my payments for a short amount of time to allow myself time to catch up and pay off other items as well as create a savings account cushion. The representative I spoke with told me I could apply to have my payment cut in half for 3 months, after which the monthly payment amount would greatly increase.
