I received a letter in the mail from synchrony bank stating my Credit Card accounts were being placed on hold pending further investigation as they were disputing who I am. The credit cards affected were my Citgo, BP, Amazon, Walmart and paypal. I have had 2 of the Accounts for more than a year and have never missed a payment, been over the lmit or anything. I was locked out from accessing the accounts on line as they claimed this this might be identity theft. I filled out the form they submitted to me signed it and sent it back, to my surprise about 4 weeks later I was able to access my accounts on line but they all said I have no available credit. I immediately contacted synchrony bank and was told told because they could not validate who I am they closed my accounts. Now I have other loans, credit cards, bank loans, etc from other financial institutions I have a valid D.L AND social security number. I am very upset, as by closing my credit card accounts it will it will significantly decrease my credit sore and adversely affect me and my credit.. I am seeking an explanation and for my accounts to be reinstated with full rights as I have not violated any policy or procedure of synchrony bank
