Previously, my husband and I submitted a complaint because of some inappropriate communication and solicitation from Prestige Financial and their agents. Upon receiving the complaint, Prestige contacted us and stated that the agents in violation were no longer handling the account and we were being forwarded to - -. - contacted me and we discussed plans to rectify the accounts instability. We made an agreement that payments of $320.00 would need to be received every month for 5 months before we could transition into a " fresh start ''. I agreed and began making payments, in - ( I believe ). - and I were in contact with each other until my father became ill in -. It was in this month that I continued to make the payment of $320.00. This month, - 2016, I really began to look more closely at our finances and realized that we could pay the Prestige account weekly and begin to attack the large amount of interest that was building daily. So I began making weekly payments of $75.00 starting on - -, 2016. On - -, 2016 I remitted another payment of $75.00, and again on - -. I had just $97.00


additional $97.00 needed to complete the $320.00 payment? Or can we set that up with your checking info? That is the amount needed by -/-/- to keep this from charging off. Thanks '' At -, the same day, my husband called me to tell me that the repo man had come and taken the car. My husband works - shift and had to be at work at -, and all of his tools for work were in his car. The repo guy would not let him retrieve his things before dragging the car down the street. When we reached out to - she said that due to lack of communication she was not sure that the payment was going to be made so she alerted the repo company. I am not sure how she could ASSUME this being that payments were made timely and per the amount agreed upon monthly. - told my husband that me making payments every friday were not satisfactory and that I needed to make a monthly payment through her and through her alone. This information was never communicated. Prestige Financial is a predatory lender and their agents are pompous. Per her last email, - stated that the payment had to be in office by - -. It was made today. We have kept our word with them and paid the amount agreed, however, they have not done the same. When I informed them that we would be filing another complaint, they immediately had their compliance officer, - -, contact me. He agreed that I have been making the payments monthly, and that me paying them weekly in smaller increments was not a problem. He tried to rectify the situation, but not until we pay an additional $640.00. I do not feel that this situation was handled properly at all and Prestige has constantly and overstepped their boundaries and this is just another example of how they are very unethical. They must be stopped.
