I have sent - faxes and - letter to Fifth Third bank ( - ) requesting that they close my saving account and send the remainder of my funds in a check to my address. I am ill and I simply do n't have the energy to go back to the bank branch which is - miles from where I live. I would have to take a bus, train and a shuttle to go back to the branch and round trip the travel would take 8 hours. Despite explaining this and asking several times that they close my account, the savings account remains open.
