I made an online payment to mortgage on -/-/15. I then received a payment confirmation stating that payment was received '' I received a call from mortgage on -/-/15 saying that they were accessing a late fee and check bounce fee. I explained about my confirmation e-mail and they said that the reason no payment was made was because an incorrect acct # was entered. If that is correct then why did I receive a payment accepted '' confirmation e-mail. Sufficient funds were also in the bank so there never was a bounced check. Not only are they assessing these fees but are also charging me a $15.00 fee to make payment over the phone after the fact. I feel as if they are ripping me off on purpose.
