The letter did not give me my mini-miranda rights nor did their letter state they they were a debt collector. I disputed the debt in a letter dated - and requested that they conduct an investigation and to send me the results. On - I received another collection letter from them with out receiving results of the investigation of my dispute on the alleged debt. Ascension Point Recovery Services, LLC Debt collection cont'd attempts collect debt not owed debt is not mine May 3, 2015 - My mother died -/-/2014 and left an unpaid credit card. I went into the store to pay it and learned that they had written it off. ( excused the debt ) When I got home my wife said a collection company called and wanted payment for that same debt. She did n't know it had been written off by the original company and she agreed to pay it. She gave them a check by phone to be cashed a few days later.
