October 29, 2015 - After viewing and being inundated by television and repeated direct mail advertisements from Capital One, I decided to apply for their credit card in order to take advantage of their supposedly generous mileage offer. Both my wife and I maintain an " Excellent '' credit rating. To my surprise, Capital One summarily declined my application and to date, despite my repeated requests, has failed and refused to tell me why.
