Not only are the not helpful but they refuse to lower my interest rates which have risen to nearly 10 %! They are a scam. No where in my contract did I ever sign up for interest rates that high - and that is not all. The amount of money that I originally borrowed ( I have private loans ) is significantly lower than the current amount I owe - mostly from interest accruing while I was in school. After 4+ years of perfectly on time payments my current balance is at $23000.00. Close to $1000.00 of this is only from the past 3 months of non-payments.
