Professional Recovery Management Debt collection cont'd attempts collect debt not owed debt resulted from identity theft August 30, 2016 - I recently filed a complaint against this company for attempting to collect a debt that is not mine. The complaint number is : - The company responded saying they could not validate the debt and were updating my credit report to say " disputed ''. This is not acceptable. I want this item that does not belong to me completely removed from my credit report. The company responding saying that the letter from - relates to a data breach that happened after the account in question was opened. It says the account was opened back on -/-/-. I did not open the account and it was a result of identity theft. I called - - when the account was still open back on -/-/- and told them that I did not open the account. They said that they would look into it and get back with me. I called them once again on -/-/- and asked them why the account was still open, they said that they have came to a resolution '' and will close the account. They never did. The account is now in collections... |
