Discover took over the loan from - in - -. Initially, my student loan rate at - was 6.25 % but Discover increased my rate to 6.5 % in - - when it assumed the - portfolio w/o communicating the terms to me via email or by mail. When i graduated in - - I had applied for auto debit that should lower my rate by 0.25 %. They did not entertain that. Then again, I see that that they increased the rate to 6.625 % in - -. In - -, they have increased my rate to 6.875 % in - -, to 7 % in - - and now 7.125 % in - -. This is a rip off since this was a fixed term loan and not a variable interest loan. All this while, my credit scores are going up and the interest rates have gone done. So why is Discover abusing and charging more fees that they are not communicating to me directly via email or via phone or via mail when they have all my information? I need money back for this negligence at their end and credit for extra fees paid.
