I did an application for making home affordable with Select Portfolio Servicing on -/-/2016. I kept getting that more information was required which I provided and still was denied for any options for HAMP Tier 1 due to PSA restrictions, denied for HAMP Tier 2 due to ration outside of acceptable range and SPS claims that the investor/guarantor does not participate and did not give contractual authority to modify mortgage, once I received denial I called and asked for the specific reason that Investor/Guarantor did n't give contractual authority and also requested the name and the phone # for the investor/guarantor. I was advised that they did not have the information to give me and they would have to mail it to me. I finally received the name of the investor/guarantor and did my own research to obtain a phone number and address. I emailed and called the investor/guarantor and was advised that they did participate in the making home and they did not have any restrictions that would prevent a decision being made for a mortgage modification, also they advised me the decision was up to the servicer. I appealed the decision in - 2016 and was denied again.

Also, on - -, 2016 @ - I received a call from an advocate from the escalation department about my concerns she said that SPS approved me, but it was the investor/guarantor did n't give authority and that since I had - temporary in house modifications with - my prior servicer that there was a cap of -. I called the investor again and asked about caps and restrictions for modifications they said they have none and all of sudden she said she had good news that the restriction was lifted in - 2016, but could not give a specific date and that I would need to do a new application. I advised her that I received an email from the - - and I was referred to the ombudsmen department she said well hold off on the application and speak to Autumn and maybe she can push it through without my having to do a new application. Unfortunately that was not the case I have spoke to several people there telling me any and everything and I received a letter for required information dated - -, 2016 and I call the ombudsmen department since that is who I am working with now and was advised I have to do a new application for a modification. I explained to - that it does n't make sense I was being given incorrect/wrong information and now I have to send in a new application and keep in mind that the program ends -/-/2016 and this was on - -, 2016 she claims she would send it to a supervisor and get back to me within 24-48 hours and never heard from her. I called and spoke to - in the ombudsmen department and explained the same thing that I explained to - and said the same thing that I would need to send a new application, paystubs, -, proof of occupancy, - bank statements and the non obligor form for my husband. - claims he was going to escalate this so I could get an answer so I scanned the application and new documents and emailed directly to the ombudsmen dept and I called today and I was advised it would take 5-7 business days for the documents to be reviewed to make sure everything was there and then it would go to underwriter. Why? I am doing this again when the so called was lifted in - 2016 since I was approved with SPS and the restriction was lifted why do I have to go through this again? This is totally unfair and inconvenient for me and now I am - months behind on my mrtge.
