On my most recent account statement, Santander charged me a $3.00 " paper statement fee. '' I had not been notified that I would be charged for receiving my checking account statements via - Mail. Not only was the fee a surprise, but it is also unjustified because the price of printing and postage does not add up to $3.00. Nevertheless, I complied with Santander 's desire and signed up for online statements. Then I asked Santander to reverse the $3.00 fee in light of lack of notice. To date, Santander has not reversed the fee.
