Santander Bank advertised its - accounts by saying that customers could earn an extra $20.00 per month " for as long as you own the account ''. This was obviously meant to imply that this was not a temporary promotion. However, about 2 years later, they closed all of the - - accounts and transferred the balances into - of their other products. Their advertising was intentionally deceptive. In addition, after closing my accounts in late -, I realized that they had never credited my account for the last $20.00 that I was due for the month of -. They admitted their mistake but said that since I had closed my accounts they could not give me the $20.00 I was due.
