I paid off my car loan five months ago. I have asked 3 times for a lien release. I traded my car to a local dealer who is threatening to repossess my new car because i can not provide them a copy of the title or a lien release on my old car. Each time i call Commerce Bank they tell me that they will process my request and mail it out to me. I called them again today and told them that i need this done today. They refused to accommodate my request and said it would take - to 10 more business days to process the lien release.
