Hyundai Capital America Consumer Loan department,
Vehicle loan Problems when you are unable to pay Louisiana
I filed for Chapter - bankruptcy in - -, but I indicated to my lawyer and my car loan company that I intended on continuing to pay on my - - - car loan through Hyundai Motor -. However, once my bankruptcy was filed Hyundai Motor - made it impossible to pay my auto payments online or over the phone. The first payment attempt I realized that they had locked my options on my online access for my loan, so I could not pay on my loan. It listed a - number to call so I attempted to call it to make the payments, but the number would ask for my account # then ask if I had a direct extension number or wait on the line to be connected to representative. However, after it transferred me to another extension it would immediately disconnect the call. I tried numerous different Hyundai Motor Finance numbers, but it would always transfer me to this number if I put in my account #. Finally, I tried a different number without disclosing my account number and I was connected to a representative. I was able to pay my - monthly payment, but the representative
with me. Additionally, she said that this was required by law due to the court stay for the bankruptcy proceedings? Since that time I have been unable to get a representative on the phone and the reaffirmation agreement was never sent to my attorney as they indicated that it would. My attorney has indicated that he has never received any reaffirmation agreement from -, and he disputes that the stay would have required - to lock me out of my online account. The stay ended a few days ago and now I do have access to my online account again, but the payments required and late fees have stacked up making it very difficult to catch the loan account up to date. I believe Hyundai Motor Finances actions were both unethical and dishonest, and quite possibly illegal. I only wanted to maintain my loan with them but I believe they are trying to push me into a repossession situation.
