JPMorgan Chase & Co. Consumer Loan department,
Vehicle loan Managing the loan or lease Idaho
Leased a - from - - - ( Chase Bank ) 3.5 years back- lease had a buy back provision at the end of the lease which I used about 35 days back. In the process of buying the car they offered financing which I accepted and they collected $850.00 as part of the finance contract buying the car. My first payment was due a couple of days ago, and they are still holding on the the sales tax money needed to register my car. I am a retired auto dealer and have decades of experience financing and titling cars in Idaho, and right now I am driving an unregistered vehicle. The instructions with the contract Chase mailed said they would mail a check for the taxes due to register the car. I called on - earlier occasions, on - they said they would send the money electronically and the second they said they would mail a check. Today I received a letter from them saying they would transmit the money electronically to the state - on -. How do they do this? My first payment is due and I am being asked to pay for a car I ca n't register. If I go pay the taxes again myself I have no guarantee I can collect them back from Chase, especially given their record on this transaction to date, and I am driving an improperly registered car and if they come through on the - being asked to do so for almost 2 months. If I had floated state tax money like this when I was an auto dealer they would have locked the doors. I would also imagine if they are doing this with me they are doing it with everyone.
