I paid off - loans, and am still paying on - loans ( - Fed, - private - all with interest ). I called Navient -/-/- to request correction of my - " - '' from customer service first told me that it " must '' be - interest because either I was " not enrolled full time '' or " the school is not eligible. '' Neither is remotely true. I corrected her and requested correction of my - She then put me on hold, returned - minutes later, and informed me that there was an " adjustment '' to my paid interest because the paid interest in prior tax years had been over-reported. I requested documentation of the " adjustment. '' She had none available. I then asked her to verbally give me the adjustment information and calculation. She could not, but not so helpfully she advised me to " consult a tax professional. '' I then pointed out
on my documents is 10-20 business days after - - -. I have had many, many problems since Navient took over my account. They consistently mis-handle payments and try to increase balances on my account even though I am enrolled in an auto-debit program and have made full payments on time, every time, since I began payback 10 years ago. The level of ignorance in their customer service department is beyond frustrating. I have had to start monitoring my account on a weekly basis, and I 'm frequently disappointed to find errors in my account. It has gone beyond ridiculous, and I do n't believe in coincidence or " human error '' anymore. I think this company is trying its very best to steal money from people, and they are counting on its customers and the Government to be too lazy to notice.
