My credit went from - to - due to the Great Recession and problems in paying medical bills and being unemployed. In - I landed a job and have not missed any bill payments since then. Accordingly, my credit went from - to - in -. However, in - of - my credit suddenly dropped from - to - per - - 's data collected from Transunion and -. When I checked to see why I discovered a - NEW entries for unpaid balances that were FOURTEEN YEARS OLD, both dated - -, -. Both entries involved " - - - '' which I have never heard of in amounts of $13000.00 and $4600.00. I contacted - and Transunion and got their typical barrage of obfuscation and confusing emails, none of which addressed the problem. Then they simply noted the " entries were removed '' but my credit remained dinged by - points.
may preclude me from getting a mortgage. Worse yet, credit in this range will likely have an adverse affect on me getting a promotion. There is no salient documentation as my complaints were filed with Transunion and - on line and I was unable to save correspondence in their website. There responses did not address, or rectify, the issue. Thank you.
