I received a letter today from ARA INC attempting to collect a debt on an old - credit card that has been paid in full with another company. I do not owe this debt. I have been contacted by phone regarding this account before threatening to serve me with a complaint, and have explained that I have paid the debt in full and will file a complaint with consumer protection if they contact me again. Inevitably, I am contacted a few months later by a different company claiming I owe the same debt I have paid.
