Hello, I have an account in collections with - - in NY for a previous account I had with -/ Synchrony Bank which was a credit card used for medical bills. We had a balance of $460.00 as of - 2014 with Synchrony Bank which was charged off to - and they are now charging us $1000.00 and will not settle for less than that amount. I have contacted both Synchrony and - attempting to settle for at least $500.00 or $600.00 but they will not work with me. This is the only collection agency that has not been willing to work with us. I do not think it is fair that the charge off was more than the owed amount. This is highway robbery, specially when this is for medical bills and when we are looking to pay it off. Please help us as we have been dealing with this for over - months now. Thank You.
