I lost my job, and now I am on Social Security. The debt was apparently bought/sold to a new company, and I believe they have violated the FDCPA by : 1. Refusing to validate the debt, and instead trying to serve me and sue me 2. Collecting past the statue of limitations for TN, which is six years from the date of the last payment. There was a man outside her window with a flashlight walking up and down the house shinning a flashlight in every window. He was knocking on the door. When the police arrived they found a yellow card addressed to me with a number to call. I do not live with my mother and have never lived at this address.
