I had temporarily moved from my home due to illness and had my water shut off. In 2015, when I requested new service the water authority did not inform me on how they would bill me so I assumed I would get a paper bill. When I never got the paper bill I repeatedly contacted the agency requesting the bill. I even contacted the - - because other mail had been missing from my home. Despite these requests, I never got a paper bill but came home - day to the water being turned off and a hang tag on my door stating I owed over $200.00... |

Debt collection disclosure verification of debt right to dispute notice not received May 14, 2015 - On Saturday - -, I received a notification from - that a new collection account had been reported ( listed as - - - ) .. Immediately I checked and it was being reported by Stallings Financial. I called them on - -, only to find out they were closed that day. On Monday - - I called - - - department inquiring on this account to find out what it was. They stated that it was a final bill from 2013 that was never paid. I asked them why they had not sent a bill, as I NEVER received anything from them ( I left my forwarding address with the post office. ) I paid... |

I never received any correspondence from Stallings validating the debt. I sent another letter in -/-/- stating I had not received any validation of the debt. Stallings Financial sent a letter dated -/-/- stating my dispute was frivolous. I have not received any documentation stating the debt is valid. ... |
