Their response I felt was unacceptable. I am upset because the merchant had no time limits to use their service for the bids I purchased but Barclaycard said I enough time. How can they make that decision. They still did not offer arbitration or even consider All the items I did pay for with bids and ending purchase price that were never received. First after 3 months they just closed the dispute then reopened it when I called about it and then closed it again after another 2 months. They felt the merchant was in the right. I do n't feel they fairly represented me the customer. They never even bothered to give me a call. All calls were initiated by me and I never got what I felt were fair responses. The application specialist told me that sounds right but could not give me a definitive answer until I actually opened an account so they could ensure I was in a DoD database. From the moment the account transferred over I have not been able to open an online account, set up autopay, see my charges or pay my bill because their entire system is based on your social security number, and for some reason it takes 3-5 business days for them to record it. Barclays PLC Credit card credit card protection / debt protection October 13, 2016 - I was recently informed by my credit card company that a merchant I visited had a security breach and as a result, the credit card company would be issuing a new credit card for me to protect my account. However, when I requested the name of the merchant with the security breach, I was informed that information was private and could not be disclosed to me. As a consumer, I find it shocking that I am not allowed to know which merchant had a security breach and potentially exposed me to further security concerns though my credit card company is allowed to know. Barclays PLC Credit card credit card protection / debt protection June 30, 2016 - Barclay sends me a promotion for a balance transfer, which I take. Immediately after approving my balance transfer, they snap a bogus charge of $480.00 onto my account backdated three months. As this is on top of my 0 % APR balance transfer, Barclay is also guaranteed to earn massive amounts of interest on this charge. Because I can not pay off the charge unless I pay off the balance transfer ( that I had just paid the fee to take ) first. This is predatory banking at its finest. Barclays PLC Credit card credit card protection / debt protection April 3, 2016 - I opened a Barclay card account and ordered a card for myself and an additional card for my spouse, when my spouse card arrived the paper receipt with his card had the entire card number printed on it, which I think may be a FACTA violation, I know retailers can not print more than - numbers of your card on any receipt so I find it unsettling that a card company would print the whole card number on a receipt, this was not a bill or statement it was a receipt that came with delivery of the card so really was no reason for the number to be printed on the paper, as it is printed on the card. I informed barclay of an unauthorized ( refund ) charge on my account by a merchant who send an email confirmation stating that this charge was refunded and should be refunded. I provided the refund confirmation email to barclay over a year ago to no avail. I have been back and forth with barclay for an entire year.
