Barclays PLC Credit card department,
Credit card protection / Debt protection Utah
I opened a Barclay card account and ordered a card for myself and an additional card for my spouse, when my spouse card arrived the paper receipt with his card had the entire card number printed on it, which I think may be a FACTA violation, I know retailers can not print more than - numbers of your card on any receipt so I find it unsettling that a card company would print the whole card number on a receipt, this was not a bill or statement it was a receipt that came with delivery of the card so really was no reason for the number to be printed on the paper, as it is printed on the card. Printing the whole card number on a paper just makes it one more security issue, so I am thinking do I keep the paper for records and risk anyone ever finding my card info, or shred it and hope that no one can piece it together and steal my info, so now I 'm saving the paper and just purchased a large locking file cabinet to try to keep this and other papers locked up so this card seems to have already cost me - bucks and how can I expect a retailer to keep my info safer than my card company is willing to, it is all very disappointing. You get a credit card for security, but now instead of feeling more secure I just feel like I have one more thing to worry about .Tried to contact Barclaycard , as soon as I mentioned FACTA violation I was placed on hold and then they hung up on me.
