The loan processing times have been lengthy with consistently wrong paperwork in terms of costs, payoff, and cash required to close. I signed the final documents only to be told 4 days later that my loan had to be redrawn at a lower payoff amount because they failed to get accurate payoff numbers ( I had made 2 mortgage payments of which they were advised ) because they had a limit on cash that could be returned to me and could not use the cash to pay down the principal on the new loan. They are extremely difficult to make payments through their automated phone payment system unless I set up an automatic draft which I don not prefer. I prefer one time ACH drafts as I need to control the date of payment each month as I need to insure funds are available. The lender kept pushing back the closing when they told us it could be done in 30 days. There were just excuses and really no concrete reason for the delay. At first it was because of the buyer 's verification of rent ; but, it was a simple needing the buyer to sign a release form to allow the rental agency to send the documents to the lender.
