I was transferred to - - - who proceeded to give me a high pressure sales tactic for a 30 year mortgage loan of $100000.00, which I did not want. I did not accept this offer, and only told him I would think about it. I had subsequently decided to accept a more conventional HELOC with another lender. The salesman told me he could not provide an estimate of loan terms without a credit check ( $10.00 fee ) and loan application. I made it clear that I only wanted an estimate and was not committing to refinancing at that time. I agreed to fill out the application over the phone.
