LendingTree, Inc Consumer loan shopping for a loan or lease November 10, 2015 - I used a website 'lending tree.com ' to shop for auto loan rates. The website asked for my personal information and the page title was 'Compare live rates ' and the final button was labeled 'View Free Offers '. When I clicked on 'View Free Offers ' my personal details were shared with companies that ran hard credit inquiries. I did not consent to any such terms - nor were they displayed in any form that made it reasonable to presume that I was effectively completing a loan application.
