It states the account was opened on -/-/2016 which is a LIE BECAUSE I did n't open any accounts in -/-/2016 that went to collections. ATG Credit did not contact me nor did they send me a letter informing of what ever debt this is which violated my right as a consumer to dispute or have whatever this debt is validated. The only way we found out about this debt was through a derogatory collection mark placed on the credit bureau report. We want to pay the debt, but feel the item should be removed from the CBR because we did not receive notification of the debt. The agency will not remove the item, says the can update.
