April 25, 2016 - MEFA - harassment and threats. We get multiple mailings and calls harassing us that our loans are " in default, '' even though I have paid in advance and have automatic bill payments sent at the same time every month ( not auto withdrawal ). When we set up the loan ( s ), we were never told that every semester there is a whole new loan and account assigned to each student so I had NO IDEA that my monthly payments were going to a non-early repayment account vs. the monthly payment account. 1 year after trying to resolve this, it 's still an outstanding issue that MEFA/- says is putting AL...
