I closed it by choice between - and -. I informed the creditor at that time that I needed to arrange a lump sum payoff settlement amount because of financial hardship but they declined my offer. However, I continued to make the minimum monthly payments until -. In -, I became financially unable to make the payments anymore and the account went into default. Recently, my husband was given a summons by the lawyer of the creditor for a law suit against me. I called the lawyer and tried to negotiate a lump sum settlement amount of $3000.... |
