I have had my account with my LOWES credit card for many years without issue. I set up recurring payments and paid on time. Last summer I got a new bank account and switched my recurring payments to the new account. For some reason lowes ONLINE account reverted to the old account and - payment bounced back from my bank as INSUFFICIENT. I noticed it did not come out of my NEW account and fixed it within about one week. I called Lowes and they refunded the late fee due to it being some sort of error and the REPRESENTATIVE said they would DELETE THE OTHER ACCOUNT. Then apparently did not. On - - I noticed that the $200.00 payment did not come out of the bank account so I checked it online. It was returned so I immediately paid it. I checked and it was attached to the CLOSED bank account that they were suppose to delete so I PERSONALLY deleted the account. Lowes Synchrony Bank PERMANENTLY CLOSED my credit account over this. This was due to system and/or representative error. I never received notice that they would close it. I called and they will not re-open stating that it is their 'policy '. I want my card re-opened and my credit report to reflect no wrongdoing on my end.
