I made a payment to - of my store cards while speaking with a representative. She confirmed the payment and said that it successfully posted only to learn a month later, she 'd transposed a number. The payment never posted and I never got any notification. Her error resulted in them closing my account. The company acknowledged the mistake, promised to research and fix the problem but never did. Months after, I made a autodraft payment arrangement to clear the debt. Only - payment posted and now the debt has been sold to a collection agency with additional fees on the debt.
