I received a private loan through Wells Fargo in -/-/- for $ - with my brother as the co-signer. When I completed school in -/-/-, my co-signer was in - - bankruptcy with Wells Fargo receiving monthly payments from the - -. During his BK, I did not receive the expected repayment information and rates, so I contacted - about the loan. They advised me that they could not legally contact me or send information about my loan b/c my co-signer was in -. Later in -/-/-, my co-signers BK was resolved. Not a week later, I immediately started receiving harassing and intimidating phone calls from - stating that my account was delinquent - even though they 've received payments through his BK - and demanded that I pay $1000.00 per month for 24 months to satisfy the loan and accruing interest. I asked the rep about receiving a letter with repayment information like I received from all other lenders. They stated that my loan is in severe delinquency and there were no other options. I countered with $200.00 per month b/c that 's all I could afford being fresh out of college with no good paying job. - denied


which caused turmoil in my relationship with my brother. In -/-/- I filed Chapter - to attempt to stop them from further levying my co-signers accounts as they started threating to take our family heir-loomed land. When my BK - in -/-/-, -, for some reason, had a totally different tone. They accepted a monthly payment of $150.00. However, the account reflected as a charge-off for $24000.00 onall - credit bureau 's ; negatively affecting and severely ruining my credit. Recently, I contacted - about the harassing phone calls and their failure to provide repayment information ; especially after seeing the media report on - 's business practices. I was IMMEDIATELY transferred to an - - rep. I stated my concerns, including asking her if the recovery reps are offered monetary incentives to recover funds from consumers, as this is what would motivate the harassing and intimidating phone calls. She refused to answer and danced all around the question replying with - 's intentions. I stated to her that my sole concern was the effect on my credit, and what can we do to rectify that. She promised to research my claims and would contact me at a later date. - weeks later, I received a call back the - - -. The rep basically stated that WF is not at fault. I asked her to pull those harassing calls and listen to them. She stated that they must have not recorded any of the calls as they were not on file. I stated my concerns me that calls to collect a debt are not recorded on WF behalf and that their business practices has really ruined my life. I ca n't obtain ANYTHING because - is showing that I owe them - per month as a charge off. I 've disputed this numerous times with all credit bureau 's. They will remove it, but a month later - would report the charge-off and it would re-appear on my report. The - office rep said they could not do anything to help my situation ; only that they promise that no further collection effort will be made as long as I continue to pay them. This should be illegal!!!
